Embrace its abundance, even when you cannot explain what it is!
Tao is powerful, but the concept is so elusive Lao Tzu had to begin the book Tao Te Ching by saying, “The Tao that can be described is not the eternal Tao.”
So how are you going to benefit from Tao, when you don’t know what Tao is?
In fact, you don’t have to.
There is no need to know Tao to enjoy its benefits, just like a baby does not have to know what love is to enjoy the cuddle in her mother’s arms.
Since time immemorial, men and women have lavished praises on the greatness of love, but can anyone described clearly in words what love is? Although there is no absolute answer of what love is, are you going to deny its presence? Probably not!
Tao is not unlike love. It is something that you cannot see and touch, less so to explain. But it is there.
Although Tao cannot be described, it can be felt. Just like love, you can feel it with your heart. While love adds zest to life, Tao brings gush of wisdom to make your every moment in life more meaningful and rewarding.
It is the principle underlying your existence. It is there all the time, and it is for you to discover and leverage on. If you can just slow down and observe, although you don’t see it as an object you can see it at work.
It is in your breath. It is in the food you eat. It is in the whispers of your loved ones. It is in the smiles of flowers, the gusto of flying eagle, and vibration of a baby’s chuckle. Everything you see is governed by the power of Tao.
Savor its presence. Relish its benevolence. Just imagine, what you would have become without the sunshine! Be grateful to what it has done for you, and be ready to see the surprises that it is going to bring you when you can feel it with you heart.
“If you open yourself to the Tao, the Tao will eagerly welcome you,” says Lao Tzu.
You’ll be amazed how it can lead you accomplish things you’ve never thought possible to achieve.
Tao is just like love. It is also many times more powerful than love.
Embrace its abundance, even when you cannot explain what it is!
