Attract with a display of strength, not attention seeking
If you enjoy attention like a long-lasting glow rather than a flash in the pan — whether from your love ones or other people around you — glean inspirations from Tao.
It gets you to attract by a display of strength, rather than purely seeking.
Can you remain composed, when people expect you to demonstrate anger? Are you able to stay calm, when others in the circumstance would naturally be impatient? Can you continue to be yourself, when being yourself demands courage?
If substance attracts, then demonstration of inner strength is clearly a way to attract attention, albeit often quietly.
“The heavy is the root of the light.
The still is the master of impatience.
The Master therefore does not leave the gravity,
Despite the opulence, he is light and free.”
